I sent out an email to my mailing list last week (What, you aren't on my mailing list? Just go to my www.beautypluspower.com and sign up) and I mentioned some of the great designers that are currently making plus size clothes. I got a lot of feedback on one designer in particular, INES, and a few people mentioned that they went ahead and ordered pieces from her collection already.

INES does not have much information about the designer on the website, but I happen to have met with her a few years ago while she was planning this collection. She has a successful straight size design line, but I am not sure that she is publicizing herself in connection with this line yet so I will remain mum on the subject until I know more about whether she wants to be in the background - in the meantime, let's review the clothes, which speak for themselves!

Ok, so I am not sure how I feel about Juicy Couture and the trend it started of women wandering around in Velour Track Suits. I don't know if I buy into the label or the pricing or the hoopla or the fact that people feel it is normal to go out for dinner wearing a Hot Pink hoodie with matching pants. That being said, I know a lot of plus girls have always wanted to be included in this trend, to be able to have Juicy on their bodies (and booties). And so, I feel I must tell you that Juicy Couture has started making plus size tracksuits and is selling them at Nordstrom. And that I kind of tragically want one....

Oh, did I mention the set sells for the obscene price of $200. Love it or leave it?

So I wish there was a big staff that could help with BPP, but in reality, most of the time it's just me. Which means that sometimes things don't get done in a timely manner. Like ShopNow! - do you know I select every single piece for that section and upload it individually for you? That takes a lot of time! And I am positively GIDDY over the gorgeous dresses that Nordstrom is stocking. I swear their plus size dresses online can completely compete with straight size fashion. Just look at this one:




This Robbie Bee Dress is only $88!!! Isn't it just gorgeous??? I'm not sure what it will do if you are very generously endowed in either the hip or the bust area, but I can't wait for feedback.

And of course, Fall means my favorite thing - Wide Calf Boots are back!!!! Here are some of the hottest ones:

I love the distressed leather look on the RSVP boot, and it comes in several other colors and solid leathers if you prefer that. The Gabriella Rocha boots, I think those straps and buckles are fierce!!
